Release Notes
v6.9.1 18th May 2026 Myriad AutoImporter Changes: The following issues have been fixed:
- Media Import: Importing audio files that are more then 3 hours in duration could cause Myriad to exit. You should still avoid importing files this large as the built in editor cannot full edit the item. Myriad OCP Changes: New Features/Changes: Outputs:
- Icecast: The Icecast template has been updated to "Artist - TItle" instead of the previous " Song by Artist" to bring it in line with modern ordering standards as expected by icecast based platforms including Live365. This will NOT affect any existing outputs, but any NEW Icecast outputs will have this format by default. Myriad OCP Pro users can edit this format if they do need to use a different string format.
- The Media Site 'TMS Digital' CMS: There is a new built in OCP output template for The Media Site's new CMS platform. Your Station Enabler will require OCP Pro to be able to add in this custom output. New Tags:
- There are new Tags available to easily get the Category, Type, Gender and Era of the underlying Media item, including both Categories if set:
, , - The Format Creator has been updated to make it easier to find the Album Title, Custom Fields and Custom Copyright Fields. Myriad Remote Edit Server Changes: New Features/Changes: Important: The first time you run Myriad Remote Edit Server you will be prompted to allow it to install a new updated Security Certificate. This is required to enable better SSL encryption when working with both Myriad Anywhere and also the Myriad RES REST Api. It also allows you to use the OpenAPI interface with Chromium based browsers. Note: You will still see the browser warning that the Certificate is not from a trusted root authority, but it will now then allow you to access the REST api via https. US East Region:
- Added support for the new Myriad Anywhere servers hosted in the USA. These servers provide dedicated services for stations based in North, Central and South America and can offer significant speed increases.
- To change to using the new "US1" server cluster, go into Myriad Remote Edit Server and on the Anywhere Cloud menu, select Open Tunnel status page and you can then select the "US East" server region and click Save to change the changes.
- Your existing Myriad Anywhere URL won't change, and any users will automatically be redirected the next time they login. AI Voice Links:
- ChatGPT script creation: Added support for OpenAI's latest gpt5, gpt-5 mini and gpt-5.2 models. Performance improvements:
- The speed of uploading very large audio files has been improved, particularly for users using SSD hard drives for the Staging area. REST API:
- Media: There are several new API methods to read image information:
- /BrMyriadRES/v6/api/Media/Download - downloads the audio for the specified media item.
- /BrMyriadRES/v6/api/Media/DownloadPeakFile - downloads the peak file for the specified media item.
- /BrMyriadRES/v6/api/Media/CreatePeakFileByTask - creates (or force re-creates) the peak file for the specified media item.
- /BrMyriadRES/v6/api/Media/ReadMediaImageInfo - returns information about the primary image for the specified media item if one has been added.
- /BrMyriadRES/v6/api/Media/ReadMediaImage - returns the image for the specified media item.
- Media: There is a new QuickSearch method that allows you to do a lightweight search of all media items in the database using very simple search parameters. The results returned are also significantly smaller than for the normal /search method, meaning this method is ideal for providing an easy way for 3rd party applications to query the available items. You can filter by itemtype, title, artist, and also "must have" and "must not have" attributes.
- Media: The UpdateMediaItem method has been updated to allow you to set Categories and Attributes via a new Description string property, instead of having to know the exact attribute number. The supplied Description must be an EXACT match for an existing Category/Attribute.
- Media: The ReadUpdatableMediaItem method has also been updated to return the new Description property for the media item to match UpdateMediaItem The following issues have been fixed:
- Myriad AutoImporter: The AutoImporter could not correctly import files from FTP servers that had a # symbol in the filename.
- Myriad OCP: The OCP text parser was not correctly handling closing square brackets in format text. Opening ("[") and closing ("]") square brackets now need to be escaped by prefixing with a backslash character if the square brackets are required in the output, e.g. "[CLICK HERE FOR ARTIST WEBSITE]".
- Myriad RES REST Api: If a call to the UpdateMediaItem method failed to write the actual changes to the Media Item them Remote Edit Server would display a message box on screen, instead of returning the error to the caller.
- Media Import: Importing large Opus files would wrongly show the 'Scanning' progress as being completed when actually only a quarter to a half of the file had been imported.
