Highlights

• Profiles now separate the profile id from the Git author name with git_name. • Switching defaults to repo-local Git config inside a repository and all switch paths now share one apply flow. • SSH selection is deterministic through core.sshCommand, not just best-effort ssh-agent loading. • Hooks are repo-local by default, shell integrations auto-switch on directory change, and the VS Code extension is repo-aware.

Quality

• gitch status is read-only unless --auto-switch is requested. • Active-profile detection now checks the full applied profile instead of matching on email alone. • macOS directory-rule matching now handles symlinked path aliases correctly. • CI now covers the Go CLI and the VS Code extension test/compile path.

Availability

• GitHub release assets are published for macOS, Linux, and Windows. • Homebrew tap has been updated to 2.3.0. • VS Code extension 2.3.0 has been published.
