Always-on folder sharing to Android over SFTP - a Windows service that starts at boot and serves with nobody signed in. Administrator rights required.

The Server edition of Fast Media Sorter's folder sharing. It publishes the folders you choose to an Android phone over SFTP and keeps them reachable whenever Windows is running - from boot, before anyone logs on, through logoff, and after a crash (the service restarts itself). Install this only if the machine's job is to stay available: a dedicated server, a VPS, a NAS-like Windows box, an always-on home server. On an ordinary PC the regular package (SerZhyAle.FastMediaSorter) already shares folders while you are signed in, and needs no administrator rights. This is not a different protocol or a second Android app. SFTP, the QR / .fmscfg pairing format and the phone-side reconnect behaviour are identical - only the host differs: the Windows Service Control Manager runs the worker instead of your desktop session. The two editions never run at the same time; installing this one migrates the existing setup and keeps the same host-key fingerprint, so phones already paired do not have to be paired again. What the installation does, all of it visible and administrator-approved: registers the FastMediaSorterCompanionSFTP service (delayed automatic start, running as LOCAL SERVICE), creates a machine state directory with a restricted ACL for the host key and credentials, and adds one program-scoped inbound firewall rule for the worker. Nothing is shared until you pick the folders - the service never guesses. Uninstalling stops and deletes the service and removes the firewall rule; your host key is kept unless you delete it yourself. Setup requires administrator rights and Windows 10 version 1607 or newer, Windows 11, or Windows Server 2016 or newer. The management console is available in 13 languages.
