Local-first network scanner that finds and identifies every device on your LAN.

DeviceShelf scans your local network and tells you what every device on it actually is: vendor, type, operating system, open ports. It runs on your own machine, and nothing about your network leaves it unless you turn that on. Npcap is required on Windows and is not bundled: the x64 build links wpcap.dll at load time, so the app will not start without it. Install it from https://npcap.com/#download first. The interactive installer says so as well, but `winget install` runs silently and skips that prompt. Beyond discovery there is a per-device security report covering TLS, SSH, SMB and HTTP checks, presence monitoring that alerts you when an unknown device joins or a known one drops off, per-device bandwidth and a topology map. AI-assisted identification is optional and uses your own API key; none is bundled or required. A headless server edition covers 24/7 monitoring as a Docker image, a .deb install or a Windows service, and it is part of the same one-time licence.
