Claude Sessions Sidekick

Rafał Zygmunt·RafalZG.ClaudeSessionsSidekick

Tray sidekick for Claude Code — usage tracking, session browser, quick launchers, prompt library.

Claude Sessions Sidekick is a Windows tray utility that complements Anthropic's Claude Code CLI. It provides a persistent at-a-glance view of usage limits (5-hour rolling block and weekly Sonnet/Opus utilization), a searchable browser for past Claude Code sessions across projects with per-session notes and color tags, project quick launchers with global hotkeys, a reusable prompt library, and an MCP server browser. The app reads only local Claude Code data and uses the user's own OAuth token for the official Claude Code usage API — no telemetry, no third-party servers.

Release Notes

Added

  • Reopen sessions after a PC restart (Chrome-style). If your machine restarts while Claude Code sessions are open, Sidekick offers to reopen them — pick which ones from a list, and they relaunch with --resume in their folders. Also available any time from the tray: Tools → Reopen Sessions. How many are shown is inferred from the number of running Claude Code processes, so open-but-idle sessions are included. Toggle in Settings → Compact Recommendations → Sessions.
  • Memory cleanup suggestions. Sidekick periodically estimates your Claude Code memory footprint (global + project CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md, .claude/rules/*.md, and auto-memory MEMORY.md + entries) and, once it grows large enough, nudges you to review it — the Memory Review window shows each file's rough token cost and hands you a ready prompt to paste into Claude Code, which then consolidates the files itself (dedupe, drop stale entries, keep memory lean). Snooze for an hour, dismiss, or open it any time from the tray: Tools → Review Memory. Interval + size threshold are configurable.
  • Copy Claude's latest reply to the clipboard with a global hotkey (default Ctrl+Alt+R) as clean, original text — no console indentation or width-based line wrapping (resolves #2). Reads the reply straight from the session file, so it's the text as authored. Also under the tray Tools → Copy Latest Reply; hotkey configurable in Settings → Global Hotkeys. Changed
  • Deleting a session in the Session Browser now moves the file to the Recycle Bin (restorable) instead of removing it permanently.
